Reformation and Rehabilitation refutes allegations of physically assaulting inmates

The General Directorate of Reformation and Rehabilitation refuted on Friday social media allegations about physically assaulting some inmates at the Reformation and Rehabilitation Centre in Jaw.

 

The directorate highlighted that five inmates while being transfer to another building per the rules of the distribution of inmates in the Reformation and Rehabilitation law refused to follow procedures despite explaining to them the legality of the taken step. Legal proceedings were taken after creating chaos.

 

The directorate asserted dedication to ensuring inmates' safety, requesting to seek information from official sources, and ignoring malicious rumours.
