MOI Undersecretary opens show of inmates’ handiworks

As part of the 5th Gulf Inmate Week, Interior Ministry Undersecretary Shaikh Nasser bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa on Sunday inaugurated at the City Centre an exhibition of handiworks made by inmates. The event was attended by the General Secretary of Ombudsman and the General Directorate of Reformation and Rehabilitation.  

The Undersecretary praised the programmes and plans to rehabilitate inmates adding that improving their skills could help them to take up jobs after serving their sentences. 

The Gulf Inmate Week, which will continue until December 28, is being held under the theme ‘Together to Achieve Reforms ‘.
