MOI accord with CrediMax for inmates’ deposits
Interior Ministry Undersecretary Major-General Khalid Salem Al Absi has signed an agreement with CrediMax CEO Yousif Ali Mirza to keep the inmates’ deposits in bank accounts.
The Undersecretary said that as part of the directives of His Excellency the Interior Minister, the General Directorate of Reformation & Rehabilitation would continue to improve services to ensure the highest standards to rehabilitate inmates.
Through the new service, the inmates will be able to open a bank account instead of keeping the money in the deposits section of the department. The company will give inmates cards to enable them to buy products at the Public Security Market branches. The inmates’ families could deposit money for them through the bank website or its branches.
